Now available as a print, this detailed illustration of grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) gathered on a rocky British shoreline during pupping season. Grey seals are one of the UK’s most recognisable marine mammals, often seen resting on remote beaches and coastal islands where mothers give birth and care for their pups.

The artwork captures a quiet coastal moment, showing adult seals and fluffy white pups resting together along the shore. These scenes are a familiar sight in many parts of Britain, where grey seal colonies gather each year to breed and raise their young.

Printed in the UK on silk paper stock with a gentle shine finish, enhancing the texture and depth of the illustration. Each print is packaged in a biodegradable cello sleeve with a recycled backing board to ensure it remains protected and flat.

Prints for Easy Framing

My wildlife prints come in standard frame sizes of A3- A4, or in measurement sizes of 210 mm, 297 mm, and 402 mm square sizes.

If you struggle to find a frame for any of these sizes, I recommend getting a mount first, then choosing a frame you like that fits the mount. A mount needs to be a few mm smaller than the print size.

Illustrated by a human, not AI

Every single print and product on Ferne Creative is free from AI. Drawn by me, Ferne in me, in a South Wales studio, then transform into products, and I design all the packaging myself.

Printed in the UK, Sustainably

Art prints are digitally printed in the UK in small quantities to reduce waste. I hand-package every print myself with a grey-board backing card inside biodegradable cello bags to keep them flat and protected. Extra large prints are supplied loose, rolled, and put in a tube for transit.

Biodegradable cello cannot be recycled, so these need to be disposed of in household waste where they can naturally break down.
