This collage-style illustrated print features all five of the Auk (Alcidae) species that are found around the UK and in British waters. The bird ilustrations are surrounded by drawings of the seabirds' eggs, feathers, and their food sources and adorned with coastal plants and seaweed. This seabird art print shows the entire British seabird family, drawn in a realism style to depict their lifestyle and natural history in one image. 

There are five species of auk in the UK, which include the Atlantic puffin, razorbill, black guillemot, common guillemot, and the little auk. Most of the Auks will spend the majority of their life at sea, only returning to the British shores to breed and nest in the spring. Most auk species have evolved to become expert underwater swimmers, becoming less agile on land but acting as pursuit divers that catch almost all of their food underwater. Their diet varies from species to species but generally includes fish.

Printed in the UK on 210 × 210 mm silk paper stock with a gentle shine finish, enhancing the texture and depth of the illustration. Each print is packaged in a biodegradable cello sleeve with a recycled backing board to ensure it remains protected and flat.

Atlantic Puffin, Razorbill, Little Auk, Common Guillemot and Black Guillemot alongside accompanying studies of feathers, eggs, and typical food sources.

Prints for Easy Framing

My wildlife prints come in standard frame sizes of A3- A4, or in measurement sizes of 210 mm, 297 mm, and 402 mm square sizes.

If you struggle to find a frame for any of these sizes, I recommend getting a mount first, then choosing a frame you like that fits the mount. A mount needs to be a few mm smaller than the print size.

Printed in the UK, Sustainably

Art prints are digitally printed in the UK in small quantities to reduce waste. I hand-package every print myself with a grey-board backing card inside biodegradable cello bags to keep them flat and protected. Extra large prints are supplied loose, rolled, and put in a tube for transit.

Biodegradable cello cannot be recycled, so these need to be disposed of in household waste where they can naturally break down.
