Fundraising iron-on patch for scottish wildcats

2026: The Year of Saving the Scottish Wildcat

Did you know we have our very own tiger here in the UK?
The Scottish wildcat, often called the Highland Tiger, is one of the rarest and most endangered species of British wildlife. Now found only in Scotland, this remarkable cat faces many threats, but conservation organisations such as the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) and Saving Wildcats are working hard to restore wild populations through breeding and monitoring programmes.

As a wildlife illustrator, conservation stories like this are incredibly important to me. Through my wildlife illustration, I try to celebrate the species that make our ecosystems so special.

To support Scottish wildcat conservation, I’ve designed a Scottish Wildcat iron-on patch, allowing you to show your love for this iconic animal and raise awareness of its protection.

With every patch sold, 20% is donated directly to wildcat conservation efforts, helping support the work being done to protect one of the UK’s most extraordinary animals.

Meet the Wildlife Illustrator and Nature Nerd Behind Ferne Creative

I’ve always had an obsessive passion for both nature and wildlife illustration. Through digital illustration, I explore my favourite subjects more deeply, and if you can’t tell already, birds are definitely my favourite.

Through Ferne Creative, I transform my wildlife illustrations into a range of nature-inspired products for fellow naturalists. I hope that each wildlife illustration brings joy and inspires curiosity about the incredible British wildlife we’re lucky to have here in the UK.

When I’m not drawing, you’ll usually find me birdwatching with my eyes to the sky. My current goal is to see an osprey and the angelic male hen harrier.
