This illustrated vinyl sticker features the Common Cuckoo (Cuculus canorus), a familiar but elusive spring migrant to the UK. Recognised by its soft grey plumage and narrowly barred feathers, the cuckoo is more often heard than seen, its distinctive two-note call marking the arrival of spring.

Cuckoos travel long distances each year, returning to the UK to breed before migrating back to Africa. They are usually spotted flying low over meadows, wetlands, and woodland edges with a swift, hawk-like flight. The species is well known for its unusual breeding behaviour, laying its eggs in the nests of other birds.
