The red kite is one of Britain’s great conservation success stories; once persecuted to the edge of extinction, through protection and reintroduction, now the red kite's distinctive mewing call and gliding flight are a familiar sight in many skies.

With its long, angled wings, deeply forked tail, and chestnut plumage patterned with pale streaks, this raptor is built for effortless soaring. 

This detailed red kite enamel pin features their distinctive long, angled wings and forked tail. Finished with screen-printed pale feather patterns. Designed for birdwatchers and wildlife pin collectors.

Each 35mm pin is mounted on a custom illustrated backing card, featuring a sky-inspired setting inspired by my own trip to a red kite feeding site in Wales.
