This square greeting card features a detailed illustration of Brown Hares (Lepus europaeus) in an open green field, capturing several hares standing upright, boxing, and racing across the grass. The artwork reflects the lively behaviour often seen during the spring breeding season, when hares become more visible and active across farmland and grassland landscapes.
The brown hare is the most widespread hare species in the UK, commonly found in arable fields and wide open countryside. During March and April, females are often seen “boxing” with males that attempt to court them, creating one of the most energetic and recognisable wildlife spectacles in the British countryside.
